The project included concrete condition surveys, extensive concrete repairs to soffits, columns, parapets and decks, surface preparation of the existing asphalt exposed decks followed by application of Triflex deck waterproofing coatings, replacement deck and wall expansion joints, installation of anti-suicide fencing and replacement line marking.
All internal concrete metal work surfaces were cleaned and redecorated with protective coatings, each level having individual colour schemes. External façade surfaces were also cleaned, repaired and redecorated accessed from designed system scaffolding.
The works were carried out within a phased programme allowing for minimal disruption to car park users and the surrounding areas.

As part of the tender process, the CRL site team—together with the local supply chain collaborated with several charities and community initiatives, including Grow Jersey, local churches, the States of Jersey growth and sustainability department along with undertaking beach-cleaning projects.

CRL Bristol has successfully completed the extensive £2.3m Refurbishment to Pier Road MSCP in St Helier, Jersey over a 9 month duration. The 15-storey in-situ reinforced concrete car park was built in 1974 which has undergone a full repair and refurbishment.
This is the latest and most extensive upgrade to the car park, following previous refurbishments carried out by CRL in 2004 & 2014.
Pier Road MSCP grants easy access to the island capital, St Helier, whilst providing essential parking for commuters, shoppers and the local community. It is the largest car park in Jersey whilst also providing pedestrian access to the Fort Regent Leisure Hub.
