CRL’s Runcorn office recently completed the refurbishment works to Patriotic Street Multi-Storey car park, works which started in July 2023 and was completed 6th June 2024. The car park located in Saint Helier; Jersey is a multi-story car park with 750 spaces. used by the public and local hospital.

Levels 3 to 10 saw the application of new Triflex coatings to circulation areas, with an assessment of the parking bays for similar treatment, the good condition deemed it not necessary. All markings throughout these levels were updated. On the external levels 11 and 12, old asphalt upstand flashings and expansion joint materials were removed, replaced with new Triflex flashings and Radflex joints. Drainage ponding issues were addressed by raising levels with the use of additional resin material. Concrete repairs were undertaken, with a thorough investigation carried out to the structure leading to further repairs as needed. The entire structure, including columns, beams, and stair towers, was treated with new anti-carbonation paint to protect against future damage. Steel parapet units and internal railings were de-rusted, repaired, and repainted, with some sections replaced as necessary. Lippi fencing and posts around the upper levels and stair towers were replaced.
Additionally, wooden doors, doorframes, and windows were repainted, with a level-specific colour scheme applied throughout to aid navigation. External stair towers above levels 11 and 12 received new roof finishes, rainwater gutter system and render repairs, with scaffolding used for safe access during these works.
Prior to works starting a drop-in event was held at the main foyer of Jersey General Hospital for islanders to find out more about the works. The hospital parking was not affected during the refurbishment.
