Scaffold erection has commenced at this iconic building
CRL Restoration have started working on the iconic building at 99-121 Kensington High Street.

Built in 1933, in the Art Deco style, the steel-framed building is clad in decorative Portland stone.  Fluted pilasters rise between the windows and there is a detailed carved frieze above, with reliefs of productive labour(!). The building is topped by the famous Kensington Roof Gardens, where numerous grand parties have taken place over the years.

CRL Restoration are undertaking specialist stone-cleaning and repair, and there are indications that Regents Street Disease may need to be addressed...

Other works include antique bronze restoration, asphalt and lead roofing, decoration and new lighting to the facade.
