Our community initiatives focus on rehabilitation, support and lasting local impact. Through prison visits and ongoing liaison with HMP Hindley, Sudbury and Dovegate, we help support offender rehabilitation by exploring employment opportunities for prisoners on release, enabling smoother reintegration into the community.
We are also proud to support ex servicemen and women. CRL sponsors the Building Heroes charity, and recently one of our directors took part in the Great Tommy Sleep Out, spending a freezing night outdoors to raise awareness and funds for this RBVE organised cause.
Our highways legacy projects continue to improve public spaces. In Oldbury Market Garden, we re laid a 100 metre footpath that had become a significant trip hazard, supported by Gill Civils and Freyssinet. Meanwhile, our Broad Lane team transformed an overgrown area at Meet In the Middle charity in Rochdale into a welcoming play and sensory garden, while also supporting the local foodbank.
Finally, we look forward to the YNE Open Day at National Highways’ Wakefield office on Saturday 9th May.
