Bristol goes underground in Oxfordshire
The team at Bristol has started the New Year by removing approximately 11 M3 of silt from 45 meters of culvert only 600-950mm high.
Following this, the culvert arch has been prepared to receive a sprayed applied concrete strengthening liner 150mm thick to prevent collapse of the stone built culvert.
This has involved installing 316 stainless steel mesh reinforcement prior to the application of the Tarmac Cemrok 30 sprayed concrete with polypropylene fibers.
Our regional spray gang is now progressing well through the culvert achieving at least 3 metres per day. Other works include repairs to collapsed stonework and re-pointing of stonework in the culvert.
This is certainly a challenging project that few would get into!
